I have tried my new 600 series Electrolux washer for about weeks now. Overall happy with my purchase but there are some disappointments also:_x000D_ - there needs to be more water while washing in my opinion._x000D_ - there is no wrinkle release option, eventough the Use&Care manual says there is, customer service was unaware and could not give a clear answer.

I am extremely pleased with our new washing machine by Electrolux!! It’s got a quick wash (15 minutes) cycle that I just love and use for things that are not really dirty! I am so happy with this machine and will get matching dryer soon!! You will not be disappointed with it!!

My clothes have never been cleaner. The washer efficient removed old dirt deposits left in clothes from old washer. I didn’t like the placement of the start button, because I accidentally touch the start button while selecting wash settings. Sometimes the magnet is stuck on the chassis of the wash machine instead of staying inside the door. But that’s an easy fix just place magnet back in door.

After researching for weeks we landed on our choice model the 7637. Loved that unit did not have 1000 bells and whistles but a few meaningful features with fewer things to fail. The price was comparable to other units with a 1000 bells and whistles, which I liked because I figured rather than paying for features and marketing gimmicks what I was really paying for was extra quality._x000D_ _x000D_ I ended up being taken back by what we actually received. Upon the 1st unit arriving I meticulously installed, leveled, bought premium custom length PTFE stainless braided washer hoses 3/8" ID. First thing we noticed was the door seemed rather clumsy to shut. The male key on the door was sitting about 1/4" lower than the female key interlock on the washer. In looking, I noticed there was a lot of compliance built into the male key to compensate for misalighments but not 1/4" worth. The next thing I noticed were nearly stripped heads at the door hinge mount to washer, I also noticed the hinge was slightly loose. To attempt to fix this poor door condition I loosed the screws some more, then with the door nearly closed i lifted up on the door where it would sit highest and tightened the screws on the washer face that is parallel to the door face when closed. After that I tightened the remaining screws. This did help, but still was not what i would expect of a "premium" unit. Fired the unit up to start its maiden voyage cycle, pressed start, heard the door lock, waited for the water to rush in....."click" and nothing. Did all the checks verifying water presence, no blockages etc. Notta. After several attempts resetting unit, we could not get the door to unlock either. Appeared to be a wonky board. Asked our local appliance rep where we bought the unit for a replacement unit. _x000D_ In comes unit #2. Door shutting was identical. Poor alignment. Oh well, I figured I'd try to improve upon that later, but first I needed to verify this thing even operated. Started it up on rinse and spin, and voilà! it was beautiful to hear the sound of rushing water into the washer. Feeling satisfied and victorious we quickly threw in clothes and began an actual washing cycle. This cycle had steam selected as well. After walking away my wife quickly called me up and said she saw water leaking at the door. I also saw water vapor venting at the top of the door. Still wanting this unit to work out in the long haul I kept looking for anything obviously wrong that I could repair, maybe the gasket had debris between window and sealing surface, maybe the gasket was torn, maybe the gasket had some blockage in the drain holes, maybe the door could be adjusted to close tighter. After a thorough review, I started it back up to do a tub clean cycle. At this point there was a steady stream of water rolling out from under the door. That was the nail in the coffin. We threw in the towel. From the reviews/functionality I really wanted to keep these beautiful units, but due to these 3 failues out of the gate, I didn't want to keep them for years only to gamble with other issues._x000D_ I believe this was made right here in NC. Stripped door screw heads, because the driver was slipping out of the screw should not be occurring from the factory. We also found some weird looking rags out of the first cycle that also appeared left behind from factory._x000D_ _x000D_ We now forfeited the Electrolux units and opted for an LG 6700 unit instead. According to the online reviews the LG was slightly tougher on laundry with slightly lower ability (though still good) to remove stains. I'm sad as an engineer knowing this, but I hope I do not notice this in reality. However the door has a satisfying shut! like a German sports car "thud". And the LG is quieter than the 7637 in pump and spin operations which is critical to parents whose quality of life depends on their kids napping well._x000D_ _x000D_ 2 stars. I thought design was well thought out. Poor execution on manufacturing.

Love the door stand, the light, and pod dispenser._x000D_ Not loving how wrinkled the clothes are at the end of the cycle. My last front loader delivered them with fewer wrinkles and those that remained hung out on the line. I have more ironing now. Also don't like that there is no option for water temp in the rinse cycle.
