Purchased to replace 29 year old Gibson freezer that was still running strong. Due to COVID I am keeping freezer well stocked. Did not want to have problems with Gibson while there is great demand for freezers and. We received ours in December after ordering from local appliance shop in August. _x000D_ _x000D_ As far as improvements over the old unit, I appreciate that it is more energy efficient. Nice to have an interior light. Also nice that it is self defrosting so no need to manually defrost it. Has an exterior light that lets me know it is functioning.

only complaint is the open door warning sound does not go off if the freezer door is slightly open. Once the light sensor is off, the open door warning does not function. The door could be slightly ajar and no warning sound would go off.

So far, so good. The sales person at the Owings Mills store was great._x000D_ If she had not been so helpful and nice, I would have gone home to think about the sale_x000D_ and maybe changed my mind. But she was smart and saw a sale and went for it._x000D_ Wish more sales people were knowledgeable, like her. Praise her and give her a raise!
