5 Almost perfect... it's a great range I'd buy again

In remodeling our kitchen, we were hoping for a range that was stylish, feature-filled, reliable and one that wouldn't break the bank. I believe this Samsung range was the perfect fit. No other range we looked at fit all those criteria. PROS: • Looks fantastic • Air Fryer: Although it isn't as effective as a traditional fryer due it its large size, it still works quite well. • Integrated technology: All of the technology features built in to this range and the app are a nice bonus. Controlling things from my phone when I step away is a nice feeling even though I'm sure it won't be used very often. • Temperature probe: The integration of technology and this tool is awesome. Used it for Thanksgiving for our turkey and it was perfect! • Dual ovens: We haven't used this yet but on the surface seems like a quality build as adding the divider is sturdy. We looked at other ranges that had dual doors but they didn't have the pullout drawer at the bottom and the lower oven section went to the floor… to access items in that lower oven seemed like it was impossible and maybe even a little dangerous. Having that drawer (which houses the divider - when not in use - and the Air Fry Pan raised that lower door up and makes the lower cavity much more accessible. • Lots of size/placement options on the cooktop CONS: (and this is totally nitpicking which is why I didn't rate this down a star) • Oven takes longer to preheat than previous range... not sure if it is just because of the size of this thing but it takes quite a while to preheat IMO. • Glass surface: This is a problem with all glass cooktops but they are a bugger to get and keep clean and we do have markings already where dripped oil landed on the hot burner • Air Fry Tray: A little concerned about it's longevity as we use it so much it has already started to show some wear. That's it though. We love, it looks great and does so much more that I even anticipated. This is our first Samsung Range but we have had other Samsung appliances that have held up very well and we're hopeful this one will too.

2 Way too complicated

nice looking over, but it is way too complicated. supplied manual had no operating infornstion. links to samsung app provide no infirmation. very difficult to find on web site and gad to create an account. installaion of the samsung app took forever and was confusing. after all that effort, no link to mauals and the app provided limited functionality. all in all still trying to sort out to run this thing. setup was very poor.

4 Set-Up tips

this oven has it all but that can make simple things hard to do the first time. for example, if the oven separator is in, you. will not get options for air fry, no matter how many times you add this feature to the favorites. tech support was untrained on this. to use air fryer the separator must be removed. obvious? perhaps, not to me. the unit comes with filters, they are not used in the oven. why are they included? no one knows. the serial number is found by opening the main oven door and looking up inside the doorway top left. not by the storage drawer as stated in the manual. the glass top is weirdly easy to mark, but seems to clean up with the included cleaner. overall, a great product these are minor critiques.

5 The Best Choice!!

I absolutely love this slide in range! I love that I have two separate compartments to cook in and I can use the oven as one or two! The top glass stove is easy to clean and cooks nicely. The turn dial for the oven is a breeze to use. I love that the button can be turned on lock mode so my kids can’t turn the oven on. I can’t think of anything I don’t love about this oven!

4 Duo separator

This is my second duo flex. First one had a place to put separator when not in use. This new model has no place to hid it. Not happy

1 Not

Stove arrived. Bottom oven won't open. While waiting for a replacement of course I used the stove. Almost impossible to keep cook top clean. Small rubber strip on top before knobs collects fuss from cleaning cloth. Have canceled replacement. Can't wait to get this range out of my kitchen.

1 element

Bought this item about 6 months ago. Front right element stopped working on the small section. After contacting samsung to get it repaired they asked for the serial number. Looked all over the stove plus pulled it out from the wall. Couldn't find it. After googling where I might find it removed the bottom tray drawer and still no serial just a bunch of bar strips. Now I have a stove that has a front burner that is no good to us and no help from samsung. This was part of a complete samsung kitchen we bought for are new house. Be careful when purchasing products. Looks like we have learn.

1 Keep away from it, buy a real double oven!

Good looking, that is the only positive thing to say, don' waste your money in this range thinking that you will be using the top oven without burning the exterior and keeping the bottom completely raw, only way to cook something properly is using the whole oven without the center separator, I use to have a Samsung double oven that was excellent this one I couldn't return it because didn't test the oven on the first month, keep away from it, buy a real double oven, this range is useless.

1 I bought this 4 months ago and the cooktop cracked

The cooktop cracked after only 4 months of usage. Not only does samsung say they won't warranty it. The part number that that they have for it no longer exists. This tells me that samsung has realized there is a problem with it but continue to sell the product. As of right now I have spent 3500 dollars on a stove that I am unable to use. I would not recommend samsung to anyone. My next step I guess is the better business bureau and small claims court. It's pretty sad that a giant corporation can do this to people.
