4 Nice TV

We really enjoy this TV but came up against an issue with On Demand channels with Telus Optic Television British Columbia, there is no sound. Netflix and YouTube are okay but all other pay per view or on demand, no sound. We have an older Samsung and it has sound so not provider’s fault.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

5 Love it

Shopped many models and brands throughout Black Friday and landed on this one due to the size, thinness, and resolution for the price. We love it. The smart features work effortlessly and the picture is gorgeous.

1 One word: cheap

I bought this on Black Friday. It got shipped to my house, and as soon as I turned it on, I saw at least a dozen packets of dead pixels. After one month of going back and forth with brick (and Samsung), we finally got it replaced. At the end of December, we received our second tv. I looked again for dead pixels but I couldn’t find any. However, after “getting used” to the tv, I realized that fast moving objects were torn up (screen tearing around fast moving objects). This also happens to dark objects and small objects on screen. I tried adjusting the settings, but nothing seems to work. Adding to that, the interface is complicated. I tried connecting my phones and they worked, but when I tried connecting it again, it would automatically go into audio only mode. Why? We even installed the SmartThings app, but it still doesn’t work. We also tried connecting a non Samsung tablet and it did the same thing as the phones. Also, after a few weeks of use, the tv makes small piping sounds when a game is running on the tv from my Xbox. To be honest, I thought this tv would be good, but other than it’s size, it’s a downgrade from our old 2014 1080p 40 inch tv. I’m very disappointed. The only good thing I could think of about this tv is the remote design. It’s minimalistic.

2 Crave app is constantly shutting down

I bought two months ago. Crave app is continually crashing. The 4K resolution is seedy sometimes. I have the exact same tv but in a 55” as well. It looks light years better with same content (ie) ps5, Netflix 4K and prime. As well as with the same settings. Was impressed with the 55” version but left kinda bummed about the 65”.

4 Overall good picture quality, except for shadows

This is a big improvement on our old TV, which did not even have smart capabilities. Overall, the picture quality is quite good, except for the blacks/shadows, where banding is often visible. The speakers are not great, but I expected that based on other reviews. We have a soundbar hooked up and it works just fine.
